Meet the artist
Hi, I’m Jennifer Gabriella Giordanelli, but you can call me Gaby. I was born and raised in Venezuela and now live in Chicago. For a long time, I built my career in a very different world — spreadsheets and tax deadlines. But deep down, I always knew something was missing.
In 2024, I adopted Canelo, a sweet dog from a shelter, and that decision completely transformed my life. Canelo filled my days with so much joy, that it awakened a dormant side of me—my creativity. Soon enough, I found myself drawing again—something I hadn’t done in years. Art quickly became my outlet, allowing me to express the joy and creativity that had been waiting to emerge.
Now I'm following that creative spark—turning joyful moments into colorful pieces that celebrate the simple things.

How it all started
Giordanelli Art was born during a time when life forced me to slow down. I was burnt out, and needed a break. In that stillness, I asked myself: What truly brings me joy? That’s when my creativity resurfaced. I began creating colorful, playful pieces that made me smile—art that could lift the spirit and brighten any space. My first collection, Chicago Dogs, was inspired by Canelo and the city I now call home. It reminded me that art doesn’t have to be profound—sometimes it's just meant to make you smile.

What drives my art?
My art is about capturing special moments and making them timeless. Whether it’s family, pets, or places that hold meaning, I aim to create pieces that bring joy and resonate with others. It’s about capturing the joy in ordinary things and helping others feel that too.

My Mission
Through my art, I aim to highlight the extraordinary in the ordinary—the moments, places, and feelings that often go unnoticed but hold so much meaning. I want my work to celebrate the little things and remind us of the feeling of home, wherever that might be.
A big part of my mission is raising awareness about dog adoption and, in the future, partnering with nonprofits that care for animals in need—especially those giving dogs like Canelo a second chance.
Ultimately, I hope my art inspires kindness, connection, and a sense of belonging in the world.
